Paso Robles, California... "Authentic California!"

That's quite a claim but an accomplishment that has taken the collective understanding of generations of Paso Roblans and savvy newcomers to realize that with the mild seasons and classic California landscape on the central coast Paso Robles can't be beat.

As a result Paso Robles has grown from an historic Wild West town with Jesse James prowling these parts to a sophisticated world renowned wine region. This is an area of much diversity physically as well as culturally. The weather is conducive to outdoor activities all year around from visits to the ocean as well as the lakes. Our rolling, golden hills covered with distinctive oak trees transition to the beauty of grape vineyards and hidden hot mineral springs.

Paso Robles Will Not Stay Undiscovered For Long

Many of the activities we enjoy are centered around the wineries. With over a hundred fifty small boutique wineries to the well known tasting rooms as members of the Wine Country Alliance, Far Out Wineries and 46 East Wineries , one could spend days experiencing the popular zinfandel, cabernet sauvignon and the ever increasing popularity of the Rhone varietals. A weekend at the Wine Festival is an unforgettable experience.

The Paso Robles Event Center is home to the California Mid-State Fair. Each July along with the rodeo, traditional quilting, pie making, craft and   4-H competitions it truly is a fair to remember. The concert series attracts top notch performers such as Toby Keith,  Rod Stewart, Aerosmith, Fergie and Alan Jackson to entertain.  The Paso Robles Event Center also hosts prestigious horse competitions, motor cross and dog shows. You can also look at some of the events in our calendar section of the website.

The Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Main Street Association are very active and a vibrant integral part of everyday living sponsoring many events such as;  the Olive Festival, car shows, Americana weekend, art shows, film festival, Pioneer Days, a Taste of Downtown and an Elegant  Evening.

Paso Robles Rising in Popularity

Paso Robles has responded with a host of exclusive Bed and Breakfast Inns, new hotels, large winery tasting rooms, state of the art business meeting rooms, world class golf courses, water park and RV parks, additionally outdoor venues for music and theatre.

On any given day, one can dine with the local winemaker, travel over the scenery by hot air balloon, roam the grounds of the historic Hearst Castle, relax in a soothing hot mineral bath or discover the fine dining restaurants overseen by world renowned chefs.

Paso Robles has that close, small town aura that makes one feel at home. But the cities' growth has been very well rounded and ready to meet the demand for the leisure travel as well as the corporate business needs. Paso Robles will share all it has to offer and embrace tourism.
